Caleb and I love baseball. Growing up in small town, Kansas, we lived and breathed baseball and softball in the summer time. As a kid, I took, “you can be anything you want to be” to the max, plotting my future career as an MLB player. The plans didn’t exactly pan out. My twig arms never got strong enough to bench 90 pounds, let alone hit one out of the park, but that didn’t stop my love for the game.
As freshmen at the U of Kansas, Caleb and I fell in love (or at least like) on the intramural field. What can I say, the man has mad slow-pitch skills.
Last weekend we road tripped down to Atlanta to see the Braves take on the Phillies. I’d been dreaming about seeing a game at Turner field since I was 12, and it was just as cool as I expected it to be.
So, here we are in Atlanta, and just for fun, I’ll throw in a picture of us in Pittsburgh last summer (yes, we wore the Pirates hats that they gave us the entire game). Baltimore, you’re up next summer.
I’ve also got to give props to our own Durham Bulls for winning the AAA championship last night!
