Katelyn + Cody | Kansas engagement

Katelyn and Cody’s engagement session took place the day after Christmas in their home town of Waverly, Kansas. Katelyn is my adorable cousin-in-law, so Caleb and I had a great time photographing them while visiting family in Kansas. We started at Katelyn’s parents house then Cody drove us out to the land where he and Katelyn are building their home to shoot the rest of the session. Ahh, Kansas, I miss your pretty, open fields and big sky!

Thank you Katelyn and Cody for an awesome shoot (especially Cody because I know that this was completely out of your comfort zone)! Finally, just for fun, let’s travel back in time about 20 years to see Katelyn and her cousin, Caleb as little guys.

Elizabeth + Bart | Atlanta Engagement

Elizabeth and I have been friends since way back in our Girl Scout days. Months ago, she started telling me about Bart, and I couldn’t wait to meet him. Last weekend we finally had the chance; I headed down to Atlanta to photograph their engagement session in Piedmont Park. Elizabeth attends seminary just outside Atlanta, while Bart attends seminary in Austin, so they enjoy every minute they get to spend together, as you’ll notice when you see that Elizabeth is smiling in every. single. photo.

Elizabeth and Bart will become Mr. and Mrs. this summer in Lawrence, Kansas. I’m so excited for you guys!

Shawna + Erik | downtown Raleigh engagement session

Shawna and Erik met up with me in Raleigh’s city market for an engagement session on Sunday that included their sweet dog Gertrude who is such mellow girl. She was happy to be included in the photo session and did lots of sitting in exchange for dog biscuits. Shawna and Erik are getting married next month in Raleigh–looking forward to it, you guys!

Hilary + Mark | Raleigh engagement session

Yesterday afternoon, I was in downtown Raleigh with Hilary and Mark for their engagement session. You’ll be seeing more of the very funny Mark and ever-so-lovely Hilary in August when they become husband and wife.
